Digital and Heat Decorating

Digital and Heat Decorating are two more great way to get a printed image on garments.

In some instances, Digital and Heat Decorating offers a less expensive alternative to traditional Screenprinting. It also makes small orders possible, even affordable.

Digital Transfers have no limitation on how many colors can be in a design. With traditional Screenprinting, each color in the image requires a separate screen. Even with 4 Color Process or Simulated Process Screenprinting, there is a fairly expensive charge for the "Separations and Screens", which is fine when a large number of shirts are needed, but somewhat prohibitive for small orders.

With Digital Transfers, because the image is output digitally, there are no screen charges. Also, many different kinds of Digital Transfers are available, so Digital Transfers can be used on many kinds of apparel and materals, even where traditional screenprinting can not.

Digital Transfers also have low minimums. So those smaller events that you would like to have shirts printed for, that you thought would be too expensive, are now affordable.

Screenprinted Transfers are also available. These do require Screen Charges, just like Direct Screenprinting, however, since the image is now on a piece of Transfer Paper, you can find out what shirt color and size you need before you buy the shirt.
